Looking After Your Chromebook In Room 2

 The students were set a task to design a google drawing to share their knowledge on how to look after their chromebooks.  Here some some wonderful examples:

The Christmas Grotto 2021

Due to covid restrictions we were unable to have our normal end of year assembly but to make things super special for our tamariki Julie of our super teacher aide was given the challenge to turn Rm 3 into a Christmas wonderland. All we could say was 'Wow!' Julie really outdid herself and below is just a wee sample of what she achieved. I would like to give a hug congratulations to those students who received one of our special awards on the day.

Celebrating Christmas 2021

 We were super lucky to have Jenna Hahn come into the classroom and make these amazing Christmas decorations with the class.  The process was done using water and nail polish.  The nail polish was poured into the water carefully and this then sat on top of the water.  Then the students dipped this decoration into the nail polish sitting on the water.  The final step was to spray them with a lacquer to ensure they last a long time.  

A massive thanks needs to go to Jenna Hahn for giving up her time to do this for our tamariki they really did love learning how to do this.

I Spy Christmas Challenge

Mrs Bailey set the kids a challenge to create an I Spy. This activity was based on the books we have in our school library. The children had to pick images to share and for the read to find. Then using a variety of different options they had to blend the picked images so it was hard for the readers to find. Here is Mila's work and wow it really is challenging!

A Christmas Fairytale

Mrs Bailey challenged the children for writing this week to rewrite a fairytale of their choice and turn it into a Christmas fairytale. Here is Heather's presentation.

Sir Edmond Hillary By Inshiarh

 As we are continuing to develop our research skills the tamariki have been given an open choice about who they would like to research.  The one thing they must include how they made a change in this world.  Inshirah has done a fabulous job on researching Sir Edmond Hillary.

Sailing 2021

 Every year NZ Sailing gives our tamariki the opportunity to learn how to sail.  It is such an amazing that allows those children who opt in the skills to learn how to sailing in a one day programme.
