As we continue to develop our topic: 'The Science Behind Our Food' we have been looking at how one product can be turned into a number of different products using science. Today we looked at how we can turn cream into butter and butter milk.
The children did this by putting 1 cup of full cream into a jar and sharing it until if goes from a liquid state to a solid state. Then of course the children had to try this new product they had made and what better way to do that than with Superwine biscuits!
Today we made butter out of cream. It was an amazing experience for me and I am looking forward to it again. I had collected lots of information and at the end we got to try it and it was yummy.
